I can completely relate to this - it also reminds me of the song "We Get On" by Kate Nash, where she's talking about this guy that she barely knows and it just gets further and further into the wild fantasy she has of the two of them despite the fact that she hasn't even asked him for his number yet.

Also, I feel like "hit-or-miss" is the perfect descriptor for any vegan dessert. They're never just so-so are they?
